    What this page does
    Size128 × 128 px
    File sizeUnder 256 KB
    FormatPNG with transparency

Discord shows emoji much smaller than 128 px in chat. Check Discord's help centre for the current limits.

    How to use it

    1. Drop your image.
    2. Pick fit or crop.
    3. Download and add it in Server Settings > Emoji.

    Why Discord rejects some emoji

Discord refuses emoji files over 256 KB. Large PNG artwork can easily be bigger than that. Shrinking it to 128 × 128 pixels brings almost any image well under the limit while staying sharp in chat.

Choose "Emoji 128 × 128" to keep the whole image with transparent space around it, or "Crop to square" to fill the frame.

    Questions

Does this work for animated GIF emoji?

Not yet. The tool saves the first frame only. Animated GIF support is planned.

Can I make a server icon here too?

Yes. Server icons are square too. Enter 512 × 512 in Settings for a sharp icon.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share it with "Share by link" in the Download step. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline. If your device can't handle an image, the tool can shrink it on our server instead, but only if you agree, and it is deleted right away.
