Getting the Discord profile picture size right

Discord shows avatars and server icons as circles, and asks you to crop non-square images. Making the image square first means you control exactly what shows.

The transparent option keeps a logo with no background, so it sits cleanly on both light and dark themes.

    Questions

Can I use an animated GIF?

Not with this tool yet: it saves the first frame only.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share it with "Share by link" in the Download step. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline. If your device can't handle an image, the tool can shrink it on our server instead, but only if you agree, and it is deleted right away.
