    How to use it

    1. Choose "Crop to fill" or "Fit without cropping".
    2. Drop your image. The preview shows exactly what you will get.
    3. Download your 1080 × 1920 file.

    Where 1080 × 1920 is used

It is the full-screen 9:16 size for Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts covers, and a common phone wallpaper size.

"Crop to fill" scales the image until it covers the whole 1080 × 1920 frame and trims the edges evenly. "Fit without cropping" keeps the entire picture and fills the empty space, so nothing important is lost.

    Questions

How do I post a landscape photo as a Story without cropping?

Choose "Fit without cropping". The photo sits in the middle of a 1080 × 1920 frame with a blurred copy of itself behind it.

Which part of the photo is kept when cropping?

The centre. The image is scaled to cover the frame and the extra is trimmed equally from both sides (or top and bottom). If your subject is off-centre, "Fit without cropping" keeps everything.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The resizing runs inside your browser with JavaScript, so the image stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share it with "Share by link" in the Download step. Once the page has loaded, resizing keeps working even if you go offline. If your device can't handle an image, the tool can shrink it on our server instead, but only if you agree, and it is deleted right away.
